The LINKcat Library Catalog
The software for the library catalog implemented in April 2011 will allow us to make changes and offer features that the old software could not support. Two of the new features include the option of saving a history of everything you read and the ability to create multiple, unlimited, private lists.
The First Time You Use LINKcat...
The first time you access LINKcat, you will need to use your full 14-digit library card number and your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to log in. After that you may change your password. Library staff will no longer be able to tell you your password, but can reset it for you.
While the LINKcat web address will be the same – www.linkcat.info – your old links to LINKcat may not work. You may need to reset your bookmarks or favorites after the transition, and re-save your new login information.
The South Central Library System has prepared printed materials, and is in the process of developing online tutorials to help answer any questions you may have. For printed materials, please contact your library staff. The online tutorials will be available at www.youtube.com/user/SCLSUTube.
