Outside Mullingar Play Club

Where:
Oregon Public Library, 256 Brook St, Oregon, WI

We are hosting a play club of Outside Mullingar, in conjunction with Forward Theater.  It's fun and easy to take part: just attend the meeting, check out a script and study guide at the library, and then head to your library for the discussion. The conversation will be led by a Forward Theater Company artist, and scenes from the play will be read aloud by Forward Theater actors.

Discussion questions are available HERE.

In Outside Mullingar, Anthony and Rosemary are facing down middle age from neighboring farms in rural Ireland. Only a strip of land separates these eccentric souls, but with a feud simmering between their families, these introverted misfits will need to overcome a childhood grudge and years of stubborn pride to find happiness. Flinty humor and poetic passion highlight this charming and poignant play about how it’s never too late to take a chance on love.

There will be four Play Club events for each show, hosted at various libraries around Dane County.  Forward Theater Play Clubs in the Library are a part of the From Page to Stage program, which is possible thanks to Beyond the Page, Madison Community Foundation, Dane Arts Commission and the Wisconsin Humanities Council.
