Storytimes

Oregon Public Library offers storytimes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Registration is requested for planning purposes. Register at the library, by phone 608-835-3656, or email at kpa@scls.lib.wi.us.

Storytimes will start January 27th.

Lap-sit Storytime

Storytime includes 15 minutes of stories, rhymes, bounces, and songs followed by playtime. This storytime is for babies ages 0-18 months.

Wednesdays
9:30-10:00 am

Toddler Storytimes
Storytime runs 15-20 minutes and is geared for children ages 18-36 months.

Fridays
9:30-10:00 am
10:30-11:00 am


Preschool Storytimes
Storytime runs 30 minutes and is geared for children ages 3 to 5.
Younger and older children are welcome.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays
10:30-11:00 am


Bedtime Stories

(Evening Storytime)
These storytimes are once a month on a Monday evening from 6:30-7:00.
The whole family is welcome to enjoy short stories, songs, movement activities, and a craft.

Drop-in Craft Program

For crafty kids, the library offers a drop-in craft program once a month.

Families can drop in anytime during the session to make a few crafts.

No registration is required.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Looking to hang out and talk about books with other kids? Come to the first meeting of the Oregon Public Library’s Tween Book Club to talk about the award-winning novel

The Invention of Hugo Cabret. At the first meeting, we will choose a name for the book club and talk about guidelines along with discussing the novel, eating snacks, and doing an activity related to the book. The club is for children age 9-12.
