Check out our Storytime Break Activities in April and May.
Oregon Public Library offers weekly early literacy storytimes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Storytime is a great place to build early literacy skills through fun short stories, puppets, songs, activities, and crafts.
Information about literacy and other parenting topics can be found on the Parent's Resource Page.
No registration is requested for programs.
Storytime ends on April 12 and is on break until June 18. We are hosting a 4-week series of fun, simple programs (movies, crafts, dancing, parachute play, and bubbles) for young children. Storytime Break activities run April 23 - May 17.
Picture Book Movies
April 23 and 24
Watch our favorite picture books come alive in animated short movies. We project the movies onto the wall. Same movies shown both days.
Friday April 26 and May 3
It's a feast of odds and ends and leftovers from the craft closet; stir in some imagination and create all kinds of crafts. Drop in anytime during the hour.
April 30 and May 1
We’ll dance to our favorite songs and bring out the shakers and scarves.
May 7 and 8
We're getting out the parachute to have fun and strengthen those little muscles.
May 14 and 15
Dance and play with bubbles from our big bubble machine.
The whole family is welcome to join us for a puppet play along with short stories, songs, and activities. This is a monthly Monday evening storytime, 6:30-7:00 pm. No registration for this program.
