First Time Parent Open House

Saturday, February 7
10 am - 11 am

Are you a parent of child under age 3? 
Come to the Open House to learn about early literacy resources at the Oregon Library.  You and your child will also enjoy a short storytime, learn simple and fun early literacy activities, and make an educational toy to take home.

Registration is not required. Families with children under age 5 are welcome.

Storytimes

Weekly Storytimes: Winter Session starts January 27. We are hosting a series of fun preschool activities in January. Check the calendar.

Oregon Public Library offers weekly early literacy storytimes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Storytime is a great place to build early literacy skills through fun short stories, puppets, songs, activities, and crafts.

Registration is not required for storytimes.

Bedtime Stories

Tuesday, February 3, 6:30 pm

Join Kelly to present an evening of stories, songs, and activities. January to April Kelly is adding STEM activities to the storytime fun!

Dads & Donuts

Saturday, February 14, 10 am

Join us for stories and songs followed by donuts and juice for kids and coffee for adults. The storytime is for Dads and children under 6 but everyone is welcome.

OPL Puppet Theater

The whole family is welcome to join us for a puppet play along with short stories, songs, and activities. This program occurs the 3rd Monday (January-May) from 6:30-7:00 pm.

Monday Fundays

Mondays, 3:30-4:30 pm

Meets every Monday when school is in session. Kids can arrive anytime between 3:30-4:30 pm. Each Monday features a different activity. Most times an instructor will be available to help kids learn chess when chess is on the schedule.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

An early literacy program for families with children ages 0-5.

Summer Reading Program

Children, teens, and adults can earn prizes for being read to or reading. Program runs in June through August.
