How is Oregon Library part of the fun?

  • Science in a Bag activity kits (while supplies last):  We are one of the 50 library locations across the state that is offering a FREE Science in a Bag STEM kit, featuring activities appropriate for ages K-12 that highlight science and research happening in Wisconsin. Pick up a kit starting October 10th anytime during library open hours. Before beginning Science in a Bag activities, please get permission from a responsible adult.
  • Scavenger Hunt at the Library with Beesley: The Festival's mascot is honeybee Beesley, our state insect. Beesley planned a fun scavenger hunt for kids to in the Library anytime during open hours.
  • StoryWalk at the Library: Enjoy the nature- themed storywalk It's Fall by Linda Glaser around the Library.
  • Eureka CollectionThe Library's collection of things offers a variety of hands-on learning kits and categories include STEM, Nature, and Seed Library. These kits are always available for check out!

The Wisconsin Science Festival’s statewide celebration is back, and for the first time features a full week of in-person and virtual activities across Wisconsin October 10-16. Join the festivities with more than 300 events in communities throughout the state. Most events are free, including hands-on activities, talks with scientists and authors, films, performances, nature hikes, take-home science kits and so much more. Oregon Public Library is excited to be a part of this Festival through the Science in the Bag program.
