Teen Summer Library Program

How the Teen Program Works:

  • The program runs June 4 to August 18.
  • For young people ages 12-18 or going into grades 6th to 12th.
  • Register at bit.ly/OregonSLP
  • Pick up at the Library or print off your reading sheet.
  • You are asked to read and complete activities to earn prizes and enter the Teen Grand Prize Drawing.
  • An entry slip equals 1 hour of reading or a suggested activity.
  • Prizes will be given out starting June 11.
  • All entries slips to the Teen Grand Prize Drawing must be in by 3 pm on Saturday, August 18 to qualify.

THREE winners will each receive a $50 Gift Card of YOUR CHOICE (OFroYo, Amazon, iTunes, Best Buy & more!)



Events are FREE and geared to young people in going into grades 6th - 12th. Registration is required for some events. Register at the library or online through web calendar.

Wizard Movies Series
Various Dates & Times (Check calendar)
We are showing all the Harry Potter movies. Registration is only required for the interactive showings of Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 on July 28.

Teen Crafternoons
Session runs 3 pm - 4 pm.
Registration required and starts June 4.

Teen Half Lock-in
Friday, July 20, 6-10 pm

After the Library closes, you will get to hang out, play games, and more!
Signed permission slip (http://bit.ly/OPLHalfLockin) must be turned in to participate.

Harry Potter Escape Room
Monday, July 23, Noon - 7:30 pm
As a group you need to escape by finding clues and solving a series of puzzles. For all ages. Registration required and starts July 2. You register as a group of 6-8.

Harry Potter Wand Making (part of Teen Crafternoons)
Tuesday, July 24, 3 pm - 4 pm
Create your own Harry Potter wand. Library provides the supplies.

Harry Potter Trivia Night & Costume Contest
Friday, July 27, 6 pm -  7:30 pm
As a team, you answer questions about the Harry Potter books. The winning team will receive a trophy! Dress up as your favorite character and win prizes! For all ages. Registration required and starts July 2. Register as a team of up to 8.

LEGO Creations Expo  
August 10-11

LEGO fanatics bring their creations to the Library and have a chance to win prizes.
Entry forms are available starting June 5.

End of Summer Pool Party
Wednesday, August 22, 1 pm, Oregon Pool

Earn a FREE entry to the Pool Party by reading. Everyone is welcome but those without a pass must pay the Pool entry fee ($1.50 for children/$3 for adults).
